Here’s a hearty, one-pan Sausage and Potato Skillet β€” simple, cozy, flavorful, and perfect for busy nights. Uses everyday ingredients and can be customized easily!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced

  • 4–5 medium potatoes, diced (Yukon gold or red potatoes work best)

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper, diced (optional)

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Β½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: Β½ tsp Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes

  • Fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)


🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the potatoes

  1. Heat 1–2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add diced potatoes and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

  4. Cook until potatoes are browned and almost tender.


2. Add sausage & vegetables

  1. Push potatoes to the side; add a bit more oil if needed.

  2. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned (about 5 minutes).

  3. Add onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened.

  4. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds.


3. Combine & finish

Stir everything together and cook another 3–5 minutes until potatoes are fully tender and flavors combine.

Taste and adjust seasoning.
