Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye is classic)
  • 1 pack slider rolls (Hawaiian or dinner rolls)
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Cheez Whiz if you prefer)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Optional topping

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onions and peppers; cook until soft and slightly caramelized.
  4. Add sliced beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook just until beef is done.
  5. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally and place bottoms in a baking dish.
  6. Layer beef mixture evenly over rolls.
  7. Top with provolone slices.
  8. Place roll tops on.
  9. Mix melted butter with Worcestershire and onion powder; brush over tops.
  10. Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes.
  11. Uncover and bake another 5–10 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.

Serving Tips

  • Serve with chips, fries, or a simple salad
  • Great with dipping au jus on the side
  • Best served hot and gooey 😋

Easy Variations

  • Mushroom cheesesteak: add sautéed mushrooms
  • Spicy: add banana peppers or hot sauce
  • Chicken version: use thin-sliced chicken breast
