Here’s a sticky, sweet, savory, fall-off-the-bone recipe for Honey Garlic Ribs — simple and perfect whether you bake, grill, or slow-cook them.

🍯🧄 Honey Garlic Ribs

⭐ Ingredients

For 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs):

Dry Rub

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne (optional)

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional for extra richness)

🔥 OVEN METHOD (most popular)

1. Prep the ribs

  • Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for tenderness.

  • Pat dry and rub with the dry rub on both sides.

  • Wrap tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet.

2. Bake

  • Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 2½–3 hours, until very tender.

3. Make the honey garlic sauce

  • In a saucepan, add honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ketchup, and vinegar.

  • Bring to a simmer, stirring until thickened slightly (about 4–5 minutes).

  • Stir in butter if using.

4. Broil for caramelization

  • Remove ribs from foil.

  • Brush generously with honey garlic sauce.

  • Broil 3–5 minutes until caramelized and sticky.

  • Brush with more sauce before serving.

🍖 SLOW COOKER METHOD

  1. Season ribs with dry rub.

  2. Place in slow cooker. Pour half the honey garlic sauce over ribs.

  3. Cook:

    • Low 7–8 hours

    • High 4–5 hours

  4. Broil or grill 3–5 minutes with remaining sauce for a sticky finish.

🔥 GRILL METHOD

  1. Par-cook ribs wrapped in foil for 1½–2 hours at 300°F on the grill.

  2. Unwrap, brush with sauce, and grill 10–15 minutes, turning and glazing often.

⭐ Tips & Variations

  • Want spicier? Add sriracha, chili flakes, or gochujang to the sauce.

  • Stickier sauce: Reduce sauce longer or add 1 tsp cornstarch slurry.

  • Extra garlicky: Add roasted garlic or double the garlic.

  • More savory: Add a splash of Worcestershire.
