Here’s a crispy, golden, restaurant-style Crispy Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce recipe! You’ll get crunchy coating, juicy chicken, and 3 optional dipping sauces to choose from.


🍗🔥 Crispy Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce

Serves: 4


🧾 Ingredients

Chicken Tenders

  • 1½ lbs chicken tenders or sliced chicken breasts

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp onion powder

Breading Station

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)

  • Optional: ½ cup crushed cornflakes for extra crunch

For Frying or Air Frying

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
    OR

  • Cooking spray for air fryer


🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Season the Chicken

Season tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.


2️⃣ Bread the Chicken

Prepare 3 bowls:

  1. Bowl 1: Flour + salt + pepper

  2. Bowl 2: Beaten eggs

  3. Bowl 3: Panko crumbs (and optional cornflakes)

Coat each tender:

  • Dredge in flour

  • Dip in egg

  • Coat in breadcrumbs


3️⃣ Cook the Chicken

Pan Fry Method (crispiest)

  1. Heat ½ inch oil in a skillet over medium-high.

  2. Fry tenders 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

  3. Internal temp should reach 165°F (74°C).

  4. Drain on paper towels.

Air Fry Method (healthier)

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.

  2. Spray both sides of breaded tenders with cooking spray.

  3. Air fry 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

Oven Bake (simple)

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Place tenders on a wire rack over a baking sheet.

  3. Bake 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway.


🥣 Dipping Sauce Options

⭐ 1. Honey Mustard Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ½ tbsp yellow mustard

  • Pinch of salt

Mix until smooth.


⭐ 2. Creamy Garlic Parmesan Dip

  • ½ cup mayo or sour cream

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Pinch of pepper

Stir and chill.


⭐ 3. Spicy Cajun Ranch

  • ½ cup ranch dressing

  • ½–1 tsp Cajun seasoning

  • Optional: few drops hot sauce

Combine and serve.


⭐ Tips for Extra Crispiness

  • Double-dip in egg + breadcrumbs for thicker crust

  • Let breaded tenders rest 5 minutes before cooking

  • Use panko for best crunch

  • Season the chicken AND the breading

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan or air fryer
